The next several pages of photos were taken Friday and Saturday, February 22 and 23, 2008. Friday was the "Satchmo Remembered" concert at Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts in Springfield, Missouri. The concert featured the Missouri State University Jazz Band, the MSU Lab Band, the MSU Pridette Danceline, and the New Creole Jazz Band along with special guest artist trumpet players from around the U.S.
On Saturday, 23rd, the Creole Band sponsored a party/jam session held at Wehr Band Hall on the MSU campus. It was well attended by musicians and fans alike.

There he is now! Steve Griggs from North Carolina came for the weekend, had a great time at the concert Friday, and sounded terrific, as always, at the jam Saturday night. |
